Ethiopia: Rough Rider

Ethiopia has over eight million horses and donkeys, which have a significant contribution to the transportation system of some towns and rural areas. Their contribution is not debatable especially in areas with less access to road transportation. People in urban areas are also still using horse carts despite an availability of many kinds of mode of the transportation system. In Chefe Condominium, located on the outskirts of Addis Abeba, seeing a mixer transported by a horse car is evident. This shows horse and cart still handle heavy goods even in urban areas.
