Kenya: Businessman Shot and Killed in Mombasa Night Ambush

Mombasa — A prominent businessman was on Monday night shot dead in Tudor Mombasa by unknown gunmen.

Urban police boss Lucas Ogara says the businessman was shot dead as he was driving home and died on the spot.

Police are yet to establish the motive but have ruled out a random robbery gone wrong as the man's belongings were found intact at the scene.

The bodyguard of a Jubilee politician was also hit by a stray bullet during the incident. He is however in stable condition.
