Nigeria: Future Energy Nigeria Continues in Lagos Today

The Future Energy Nigeria started yesterday with a conference called the Master Class.Issues for deliberation include: what are financiers looking for when funding a renewable energy project; what is the financial and technical experience needed, what growth projections are desired and how do you present a tested and cash flow? All these where discussed.

Ato Gyasi, Senior Director (Power), African Finance Corporation, Nigeria spoke on key consideration for financing renewable energy projects such as application of the Blockchain.

He remarked: "Future Energy Nigeria is holding in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing .The event aligns with power sector recovery programme of the Federal Government by attracting required investment to bridge the huge deficit of electricity from the private sector and promoting development opportunities across the country.

"Therefore, Future Energy Nigeria invites you to participate actively in the discussion that will focus on practical issues surrounding financing power transformation, diversifying the energy mix closing the metering gap and increasing performance standards, among other topics. Future Energy Nigeria will allow you to take another step in power sector reform and enabling environment to accelerate the growth and prosperity of Nigeria.

Some of the exhibitors for this year's Future Energy Nigeria are:

*Genesis Energy Group, known for project development with multiple strategic power and gas project deployed across several countries in Africa.

*Jubaili Bros Engineering Limited, a member of the Jubaili Group Holdings which is incorporated in Lebanon and manages companies in the Middle East, Africa and Asia and specializing in the electro-mechanical field.

*Lucy Electric--experts in secondary distribution solutions, enabling the safe and efficient distribution of electricity to homes and businesses across Africa. It says: "Our experienced engineers work at the forefront of the design and implementation of the automation project, from concept to deployed, and we use our engineering excellence to design and manufacture best inclass automated switchgear products and services.Skipperseil Ltd is also at this year's Future Energy Nigeria.
