Tanzania: Controversial Lugumi Bidder Dr Shika Released On Bail

Dr Louis Shika who was last week arrested by police allegedly for failing to pay the legally mandated 25 per cent of the selling price during the auctioning of Lugumi Enterprises Ltd properties has been released on bail.

This was revealed by Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police Commander Lazaro Mambosasa on Tuesday, November 14.

Mr Mambosasa said the suspect was released on bail after none of his relatives appeared before the police station to bail him out.

"I directed my staff to release him on bail after no one appeared before the station to bail him out. We will continue with our investigation," he said.

Dr Shika has been instructed to report to the Central Police Station for further interrogation.
