Libya: France's Macron Says Libya Grants Access for Evacuations

Evacuations of migrants stranded and abused in Libya are to begin within "days," says French President Emmanuel Macron. He says Tripoli, African and EU leaders have agreed on an emergency plan at their summit in Abidjan.

Macron said leaders - jolted by graphic reports of slavery and brutal conditions - would boost support for the International Organization of Migration (IOM) "to help the return of the Africans who want it to their home countries."
