The president sacked Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss Ndegwa Muhoro, and Deputy Inspectors General Joel Kitili (Kenya Police) and Samuel Arachi (Administration Police) from the National Police Service.

They will be replaced in acting capacities by George Kinoti, Njoroge Mbugua and Noor Gabao respectively pending vetting and approval by parliament.
