Sudan: Joint Talks Between Government of Red Sea and Visiting Turkish Delegation

Port Sudan — A sitting of joint talks between Government of the Red Sea State and the visiting Turkish delegation led by Turkish Deputy Prime Minister , Hakan Cavusoglu was held , Wednesday in Port Sudan city.

The talks reviewed horizons of cooperation and coordination to implement projects adopted as part of Strategic Partnership Agreement signed during visit of President of Turkey to Sudan in December of last year.

Governor of the Red Sea State. Ali Ahmed Hamid presented full briefing to the Turksih delegation about the State's tremendous resources in area sof mining, tourism,industry, investment and agriculture.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey , for his part, indicated to eternal relations between Sudan and Turkey , commending Sudan supportive stance to Turkey.

Cavusoglu described Suakin as city of civilizations and façade of Africa to the holy sites , stressing Turkey concern with restoration of Island of Sauakin to be a destination for tourists from different parts of the world.

It is to be noted that the Turkish delegation visited island of Sauakin and inspected the ongoing restoration of the island.
