Sudan: Faisal Ibrahim Appointed NCP Deputy Chairman and Assistant of the President

Khartoum — The National Congress Party(NCP) Leadership Office, in a meeting chaired by President of the Republic and Chairman of the Party , Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir which last until early hours of Thursday , made a change in position of Deputy Chairman of the Party for Party Affairs, where, Dr Faisal Hassan Ibrahim replaced Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud.

Dr Faisal said in a press statement after the meeting that the Leadership Office lauded efforts of Engineer Mahmoud in managing the Party affairs during the past period.

He added the meeting discussed the economic situation and implementation of the economic program.

The newly appointed NCP Deputy Chairman said the Leadership Office also discussed capacity -building for leadership and that it was affirmed the Party would press ahead with this program in this year and next year.

He stated that the meeting adopted after discussion and within framework of reform of the party establishment of a council to initiate the Party 's overall policies.
