Nigeria: Gov Bagudu ,16 Others Bag Award of Excellence From NLC

The Kebbi chapter of Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has awarded governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state and 16 of its past leaders as part of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the labour organization.

Speaking during the award ceremony in Birnin Kebbi at the weekend , the state Chairman of NLC, Comrade Umar Halidu Alhassan said the state chapter decided to honor the awardees in recognition of their selfless roles to the movement of labour struggle in the state and Nigeria at large.

Governor Bagudu restated the commitment of the state government in training and retraining of the civil servants as well as uplifting the welfare of workers and prompt payment of salaries.

He also recommended for staging of annual reward / recognition of hard work to motivate workers to greater heights,adding that reward and punishment can foster change and development in any society.
