Sudan: Hassabo Informed Overall Security and Political Situations in W. Darfur State

Khartoum — The Vice-President of the Republic, Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman was briefed on overall political and security situations in West Darfur State and arrangements for the Sudan-Chad Borders Conference scheduled to be held in Genaina, capital of the State in the upcoming period.

This came when the Vice-President met in the Republican Palace Monday with Governor of West Darfur State, Fadl-Al-Mula Al-Haga who said in press statements that he presented a a briefing to the Vice-President on efforts made by the State government to collect firearms that led to decline of crime rates , expansion of cultivated lands and voluntary return.

He affirmed West Darfur State readiness to host the Sudan-Chad Borders Conference, which will be held under patronage of President of the Republic , Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir and President of Chad, Idris Debby and will discuss a number of working papers on areas of boosting the joint cooperation.
