Ethiopia: Attorney General Urges the Public to Fight Disinformation

Federal Attorney General Getachew Ambaye urged the public not to be mislead by false information carried out by social media on a daily basis and to lead normal life downplaying the ill attempts of anti-peace elements living inside and outside the country.

Briefing local journalists on the current affairs of the country Getachew yesterday said that the government continues carrying out its duties for the successful implementation of the State of Emergency (SoE) .

Appreciating the public commitment to ensure lasting peace and stability in the country, he noted that religious leaders, elders and the general public together with the government have to sustain the peace keeping efforts across the country.

At the event, he indicated that the SoE does not have any restriction on the diplomatic communities.

It is to be recalled the SoE was ratified by MPs last Friday.
