Sudan: VP Affirms Success of Firearms Collection Campaign.

Khartoum — The Vice-President of the Republic, Hassabo Mohammed Abdul Rahman has affirmed the success of the first phase of the Firearms Collection Campaign.

Hassabo addressing the Annual Conference of the People's Police, at the Friendship Hall, Sunday, stressed the necessity for ending the second phase of the collection of arms by using accurate information.

He outlined that security is a basic pillar for the state, saying that Sudan witnesses high stability rates and works for more stability.

He has described the arms as the biggest threat for national and social security and the cause of tribal conflict, human trafficking and drugs.
