Ethiopia: Amhara State Reaps U.S.$154 Million From Exports

The Amhara Regional State Trade & Industry Bureau reported that 154.7 million dollars had been obtained from the export of agricultural and industrial products from the regional state in the first half of the current fiscal year.

Of the total, 142.9 million dollars were earned from sesame, beans, pulses and other agricultural products.

Over 4.6 million dollars have been generated from the export of 1,000tn of flowers, and the rest of the revenue came from the export of agricultural and industrial products.

The stated revenue from exports is 89.1pc of the plan of the current fiscal year, according to Yohannes Afework, deputy head of the Bureau.
