Sudan: President Al-Bashir Inaugurates Kenana Air Base and First Phase of Kenana International Airport

Kenana — President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, inaugurated Wednesday in the outset of his visit to the White Nile State the first phase of Kenana International Airport and Kenana Air Base and its buildings.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of Joint Staff, Lt. Gen. Isam-Eddin Mubarak, has affirmed the Armed Forces' commitment to the cease-fire, stressing the Armed Forces' readiness to defend the homeland.

He called on the gun-holders to stick to wisdom and to join the peace process in the country.

He said that Kenana Air Base represents and added value to the Sudanese economy and will support the air transport.

Lt. Gen. Mubarak affirmed that the Armed Forces is keen to qualify its personnel and to implement all the projects leading to its progress.
