Sudan: PCP - Release of Political Detainees is Positive Step

Khartoum — The People's Congress Party (PCP) official Spokesperson, Dr. Soheir Ahmed Salah has described the release of the political detainees as a positive step toward peace and motivation of the hold out groups to sign peace agreement.

Dr.Soheir said in press statements, Thursday, has outlined that the National Accord Government is responsible for creating the suitable atmosphere for the peace process, stressing the necessity for returning the political forces abroad to practice their political rights inside the country.

The PCP Official all the people should participate in the coming elections and present their views freely, adding that the government is currently, contacting the armed groups and the political forces abroad to carry out dialogue to reach a comprehensive peace.
