Sudan: 29th Ordinary Arab Summit Begins in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

Dhahran, Saudi Arabia — The 29th Ordinary Summit, chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, Sunday began at King Abdul-Aziz International Cultural Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, with participation of the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer A-Bashir, who arrived Sunday at King Fahad International Airport.

President Al-Bashir was received at the airport by the Prince of the Eastern Area, Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz, the Arab League's Secretary General, Ahmed Au-Ghait.

Following the opening sitting, the conferees will engage in closed-door sittings to discuss hot Arab issues amid serious challenges facing the Arab national security.

The top issues in the agenda of the Arab summit includes the Palestinian question, the Holy Quds fila, the Syrian issue which has taken an international dimension following the tripartite attack two days ago, besides the Libyan issue, the situation in Yemen and the combating of terrorism and other issues of concern to the Arab countries.
