Somalia: Intelligence Agent Killed in Mogadishu

Armed assailants tought to be Al-Shabaab members were reported to have assisinated a Somali Intellegnce agent in Mogadishu, the country's capital city on Monday night.

The soldier who was indentofied as Ahmed Nur Isse was shot dead by two pistol-weilding men in a Studio he used to run in Bondhere district early in the night, according to the witnesses.

The killers have managed to escape the scene on foot before the arrival of Somali security forces at the crime area, and launched an investigation. No arrest was made for the killing.

Al Shabab, the Somalia-based Al Qaeda-linked militant group has cliamed responsibility for Isse's killing who was serving with the National Intellgence and security agency [NISA].
