Angola: Governor Demands Seriousness in Agricultural Projects Execution

Huambo — The governor of Huambo, João Baptista Kussumua, demanded Tuesday in this region, the municipal administrators more seriousness and speed in the preparation of agricultural projects, to make the central region self-sufficient in food.

The official, who was addressing a meeting with municipal administrators to discuss the issue, said is necessary that these officials include the agricultural potential of each locality in the projects so that in an organized way the production of each municipality can be determined and estimate what the province can represent for the country's gross domestic product.

The governor also suggested the allocation of the cultivation fields to youths and women to increase in order to meet the country's challenge of economy diversification.
