Sudan: Minister of Minerals - Welcomes Chinese Investments

Khartoum — The Minister of Mining, Prof. Hashim Ali Salim, has welcomed Chinese Investment in the minerals sector, revealing existence of number of Chinese companies operating in the mining of gold and that three new Companies have joined marble sector after getting licenses from ministry to work in Kassala.

Salim pointed out in his meeting Thursday at his office with the Ambassador of Sudan to China, Ahmed Shawer, that their policy in the Ministry of Mining is to have a partnership with China to work in mining industry after halting the raw materials export.ation

The minister said that they were able to convince to convince the Chinese companied in copper to operate in the copper sector, stressing that Sudan door is open for the Chinese investments.
