One of Nigeria's group opponents at the Russia 2018 World Cup, Croatia, have announced their 32-man preliminary squad for the Mundial.

The head coach, Zlatko Dalic, has not made any surprising omissions from the squad with Real Madrid aces Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic, Liverpool's Dejan Lovren, Barcelona's Ivan Rakitic, and Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic all predictably making the cut.

Also called up are the likes of Ivan Perisic, Nikola Kalinic, Marko Rog, Milan Badelj, Ivan Strinic all from the Italian Serie A.

In all, Dalic named four goalkeepers, 12 defenders, eight midfielders and eight forwards to compete for places in the final 23-man squad for the Mundial.

Croatia will face Nigeria in their opening Group D game before battling Argentina and Iceland.

Last Friday, Iceland revealed their own 23-man squad for the World Cup, however, Nigeria's provisional squad for the World Cup is still being expected.
