Heineken Breweries S.C Ethiopia has handed over ambulance and medical equipment worth 1.8 million Br to a public health centre in Akaki Kality District.
The pledge was made for the maternal wing of a health centre. The ambulance costs 1.3 million Br and the emergency medical equipment for the ambulance worth half a million Birr.
Previously Heineken had equipped the maternal wing of the same health centre with ultrasound, CBC machine, suction machine and chemistry machine for the laboratory for a total cost of 0.8 million Br.
The assistance was provided with the support of the Heineken Africa Foundation.
Bottlers of Walia, Bedele, Bedele Special, Harar, Buckler Beer and Sofi Malt, and Heineken entered Ethiopia in 2011 and made over 400 million Euros of investment hiring 1,000 employees. And with the completion of the third phase; the production capacity will be 4.5 million hectoliters.
