Sudan: International Cooperation Minister Receives Chairwoman of USAID Mission

Khartoum — The International Cooperation Minister, Idris Suleiman received in his office Thursday, the Chairwoman of United States Agency for International Development(USAID) mission, Martha Moses, and discussed the project that implemented by the Agency in Sudan and expand scope of development cooperation between Sudan and USA in the coming period.

The Minister called for importance of USAID be part of joint work teams between the ministry and regional and international development partners.

Martha, indicated that they are embarking on putting new strategy for development cooperation with Sudan and that it would be completed within this year and that view of the Sudanese side would considered in stages of of formulation of the strategy.

She hoped that it incorporate strategies that made by Sudan in fields of development, poverty and handling of economic issues in different sides.

The two sides agreed to review the projects that implemented by USAID in previous period to be a base for the new strategy.
