Sudan: Finance Minister Meets WB Resident Representative

Khartoum — Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, General, Mohammed Osman Suleiman Al-Rikai briefed, Sunday, a delegation of the World Bank chaired by the Bank's Resident Representative, in Khartoum, on the economic reforms implemented by Sudan.

Dr. Al-Rikabi has pointed out that the WB delegation came to Sudan to inspect the economic reforms being implemented by the government and to provide the requested technical support for the government.

The minister during the meeting with the WB Representative has referred to the steps and the plans of the government to prepare poverty combat- strategy, while the WB Representative affirmed the bank keenness to increase its economic team operating in Sudan and provision of the technical assistances to face the economic difficulties in Sudan.
