Sudan: FVP Commends Sudanese Turkish Relations

Khartoum — The First Vice President of the Republic and Federal Prime Minister, Lt Gen Bakri Hassan Salih, on Monday commended the level of relations between the Sudan and Turkey and their developments in the various domains.

The First Vice President on Monday received the Turkish ambassador to the Sudan Irfan Neziroglu who pointed out in press statements that his country has strong relations with the Sudan which become even more stronger following the recent visit to the Sudan by President Tayyeb Reccep Edrogan to the country

The ambassador pointed out to the recent visit and participation in Turkey by the president of the Republic Omar Bahir in the emergency summit meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization in Istanbul, Turkey, on Quds.

He referred to the meeting between President Omar Bashir and President Erdogan on the sideline of the summit meeting there where the two heads of state discussed bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.

He said his country wants to strengthen these relations further via the exchange of visit, adding that the joint political consultation committee is set to meet shortly.
