Angola: Bad Results Blamed for 1º De Agosto Coach Dismissal

Luanda — Coach António Gaspar is no longer the senior coach of the senior men's roller hockey team of 1º de Agosto, due to poor results in the provincial championship in Luanda, after four rounds, Angop learned from the source of the military club.

In the first three rounds, 1º de Agosto had two defeats, 3-7, to Petro de Luanda, and 0-3, to Académica de Luanda, results that jeopardized the Coach.

According to the same source, António Gaspar, who replaced this season, Inácio Santos "Mama", returns to the position of technical and sports director of 1º de Agosto Club.

The "military" team, the title holders is in sixth position, with six points. The competition is led by the Navy, with nine points.

The event is being played by nine teams, in the system of all against all three rounds, being awarded the team that add more points.
