Uganda: President Museveni Meets FAO Delegation

Entebbe, Uganda — President Yoweri Museveni has held a meeting with the visiting Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) delegation led by Ambassador Roberto Ridolfi, a Special Advisor on Strategy and Financing Development.

Museveni advised the members of the delegation that FAO should invest in agricultural machinery, value addition and agricultural chemicals as a way of increasing agricultural productivity in Uganda. The meeting took place at State House, Entebbe on Thursday.

The President suggested that if they would invest in agricultural machinery business that is operated by a private firm, it would help smoothen the agricultural process and provide sustainable solution to value addition of agricultural products.
