Sudan: First Vice - President Informed On Efforts for Increasing Production

Khartoum — The First Vice - President of the Republic and National Prime Minister, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, Sunday received in his office at the Council of Ministers the Minister of Minerals, Gen. (Police) Mohamed Ahmed Ali, and discussed the ministry's efforts for increasing the gold production and combating the smuggling of gold in cooperation with the security authorities.

The minister said in a press statement that he will pay field visits to the areas of traditional mining, which is considered an important sector in gold production.
