Sudan: Minister of Culture Affirms Importance of Cultural Diversity in Promoting Peace

Khartoum — Minister of Culture, Al-Tayeb Hassan Bedawi has underscored importance of cultural diversity in promoting and building peace culture, indicating to significant role played by culture in formulating the Sudanese mood.

He called for making use of cultural diversity in promoting peace culture.

Addressing celebration marking the World Day for Cultural Diversity organized by Youth Innovation Foundation in collaboration with the National Council for Care of Culture and Arts Sunday , the Minister said such events showed the significant roles of culture and arts.

He announced his sponsorship to all Youth Innovation Foundation programs and activities, referring to importance of its activities in promoting peace culture through cultural diversity the country enjoys.

Secretary-General of the National Council for Care of Culture and Arts, Mowafaq Abdul-Rahman reaffirmed importance of smart partnership with the Youth Foundation and asserted continuation in commemoration of world days and other activities which boost the cultural work in the country.

Director of Kordofan Heritage Center, Mohamed Al-Hallaj indicated to co-existence among people of Sudan , adding that dances performed during the night was incarnation of cultures of different tribes of Sudan.

Director of Youth Foundation, Sahar Mohamed praised the Foundation's partners and stressed that the Foundation would go on carrying out its creative works.

She further added that the Foundation used to place more attention to innovation and culture diversity the Country enjoys.
