Sudan: Bakri Stands On Implementation of Pharmaceutical Industry Development Plan

Khartoum — The First Vice-President and National Prime Minister, Lt. Gen, Bakri Hassan Salih, chaired Tuesday in his office at the Council of Ministers a meeting that included the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, lt. Gen. Dr. Mohamed Osman Al-Rukabi, acting Health Minister, Dr. Firdus Abdul-Rahman, Chairman of Central Bank of Sudan, Dr. Hazim Abdul-Gadir, General Manager of National Fund for Medical Supplies, Dr. Jamal Khalafalla.

The meeting reviewed implementation of the pharmaceutical Industry plan for the period 2017 - 2020 and the flow of medicines in the country.

Lt. Gen. Salih has Directed the Finance Minister to continue providing a free treatment budget and chronic diseases.

He affirmed the support of state to the people.

He also directed the Central Bank of Sudan to continue providing foreign currency for the National Fund for Medical Supplies.
