Cairo, Egypt — The Minister for Foreign Affair, Dr Al Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed, on Tuesday headed eh Sudanese side in the meetings of the political consultative committee that convened in Cairo, while the Egypt side was led by its foreign Minister Samih Shukri.
The discussions during the meeting focused on revitalization of the bilateral cooperation mechanisms, particularly the four man committee, the security committee and the parliamentary cooperation committee.
The meeting commended the work carried out by the committee entrusted to ease the people's movement between the Sudan and Egypt, which include the outlet committee and the consular affairs committee.
The two sides have also agreed to convene the higher committee co-chaired by President Omar Bashir and president Abdul Fatah Sessi of Egypt in October this year in Khartoum
The two sides discussed the current regional and international questions of mutual interest
The Minister, Dr Dirdiri, had earlier called on president Sessi who expressed his hope that the coming period would see more development in the bilateral relations between the two countries.
