Malanje — Over ten thousand books on different topics are being exhibited since last Wednesday in Malanje City, capital of the northern Malanje Province, at the first fair of literature and art, organised by the Youth Literature Brigade (BJL) in partnership with a group of local secondary school students.

Speaking to ANGOP, the BJL provincial secretary, Francisco Ngola, stressed that the idea is to promote a book sale at affordable prices and stimulate reading habits in young people.

The event is also displaying photographs, drawings, dictionaries and grammar books.

Most of the books on display are by Angolan authors.

The fair will last two weeks and counts on the collaboration of some local bookshops.
