Angola: Interior Ministry Wants Criminal and Disciplinary Accountability

Luanda — The Interior Ministry on Friday took steps to take the necessary criminal and disciplinary accountability of the Criminal Investigation Service agent who shot dead a supposed "marginal".

Last Friday (June 1), a brigade of the Luanda Criminal Investigation Service clashed with a group of alleged "criminals" having a police officer shot dead one of them, "under unjustifiable circumstances, since the victim was already in under control."

In a press statement that reached Angop, the Interior Ministry advised the Directorate General of the Criminal Investigation Service to immediately take all measures to make the accountability of the of act that was considered "ignoble".

The group of suspects using a stolen a Toyota Hilux, clashed with the Criminal Investigation Service brigade when tried to prevent a robbery.
