Egyptian-Chinese Cooperation Important Corner in Arab-Chinese Relations

Egyptian-Chinese cooperation is an important corner in Arab-Chinese relations and African-Chinese relations, said Chinese Ambassador here Song Aiguo.

Addressing an Iftar (fast-breaking) banquet hosted by the embassy in honor of Egyptian media people on Tuesday, the ambassador said Egypt is a major country in the Middle East and the African continent and China is ready to push forward bilateral cooperation with it.

He also expressed China's readiness to develop strategic partnership with African and Arab countries.

He added that China will host this year two important events; the Arab-China ministerial meeting and the China-Africa Cooperation Forum.

The fact that a major Chinese company was tasked with building and financing the central business area in the New Administrative Capital in Egypt testifies to the distinguished relations binding Egypt with China, the diplomat added.

A Chinese company is implementing the Central Business District (CBD) of the New Administrative Capital with $3bn financed by Chinese banks, he noted.
