Nigeria: 'Youths Indispensable in Nation Building'

A group in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Society for Youth and the Downtrodden (SOYD), has said youths are indispensable in nation building.

The group's president, Gabriel Ogwuche, while addressing journalists in Abuja, assured youths that the government understood their importance in ensuring that Nigeria takes its place among the comity of nations.

He therefore urged them to support government at all levels in ensuring the success of their employment and empowerment programmes, adding that the groaning at the moment was to ensure a better and brighter future.

He said youth empowerment was not limited to skill acquisition but also giving them an opportunity in governance.
