Dar es Salaam — The Kisutu Resident Magistrates' Court on July 16 this year will issue a judgment on the case facing former Miss Tanzania Wema Sepetu and her two house helps Angelina Msigwa, 23, and Matrida Abas, 19.

The three are accused of possessing the substances suspected to be narcotic drugs that were found in the house of Wema in Kunduchi, Ununio, on February 4, last year.

The judgment will be issued by magistrate Thomas Simba after the prosecution and respondents presented their evidence.

The prosecution is led by state attorney Constantine Kakula while advocate Albert Msando leads respondents.

It was alleged that on February 6, the items which were seized from the accused were taken to the Chief Government Chemist for analysis and it was confirmed that the exhibit presented was 1.08 grammes of Cannabis sativa.

On February 8, the accused was taken to the office of the Chief Government Chemist for urine test where after analysis it was confirmed that it contained Cannabis sativa.

However, the defending side disputed all the facts, saying that she receives many guests at her home given that she is a popular film actress.
