Somalia: Somali Forces Launch a Massive Operation in Mogadishu

Somali security forces have launched an operation in the capital, Mogadishu on Saturday following a grenade attack on Waberi district administration HQ. Several suspected were detained during the early morning manhunt in connection with the bomb blast who are currently being questioned at police station.

The situation has returned to normal in the area after the operation which was reported to have curtailed the public movement and transportation. Police authorities say the troops will continue their routine operations until the security is beefed up and prevent Al Shabaab from carrying out attacks and killings in the city.
