Contemporary gospel musician and former member of gospel group Zimpraise Jubal, born Bardwell Muchatuki, is set to release his second album titled "Sing unto the Lord, Testify" tomorrow.
The eight-track album was recorded at veteran guitarist Clive Mono Mukundu's Monolio Studios. In an interview, Jubal said he is confident about his latest project after incorporating several renowned creators in the country.
"Since 2011 when I released my first album, I have re-invented myself and have re-emerged with a well-polished album. I have matured as an artist and there is great improvement lyrically and in terms of instrument arrangements. I am positive that people will enjoy the album because I worked with some of the best people in the music sector," he said.
Jubal added that his strong Christian background and desire to see people living on God's terms inspires him to sing gospel music.
"As a gospel artiste, l am inspired and motivated by God's word. I grew up in a Christian family and I started singing in church at a very young age. My biggest wish is for people to listen to my music and be blessed with it, glorifying the Lord," said Jubal.
Having worked with Zimpraise from its inception, Jubal stormed into the music scene as a solo artist in 2011 when he released his debut album "Muzita raJesu".
The album was recorded by renowned award-winning producer Macdonald "Macdee" Chidavaenzi.
Before and after Zimpraise Jubal worked with a number of gospel musicians among them Mathias Mhere, Sabastian Magacha, Bethany Pasinawako, Clive Mono Mukundu and Macdonald Macdee Chidavaenzi. At present he assumes a number of chores among them eldership, finance and administration, worship leading, training and development of youngsters. Apart from being an artist, he is also an entrepreneur with interest in retail business, fashion and real estate.
Under his label, Jubal aims to discover, develop, and deploy other artists into the arts industry and music business.
"There are a lot of talented young people out there who do not have the opportunity and resources to showcase their talents. Under my label, I want to discover and develop talented youngsters into the arts industry and teach them the business aspect of music," said Jubal.
