Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed on Monday said the decision to have all students wear same school uniform had not been conclusively agreed upon.

Ms Mohamed while addressing a press conference at Jogoo House, said all stakeholders will have to be consulted before a decision is made.

"Schools have sponsors and that means that we consult them before we make any decision," said Ms Mohamed.

Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang, while speaking in Eldoret, indicated that the government had a plan to have same uniform for all students.

"As we move towards having the same uniform and fabric in all our schools, we want Rivatex to prepare so that they are able to play a role in the manufacture of the uniforms that will be required" Dr Kipsang noted in Eldoret.

Few Africa countries such as Ghana and neighboring Tanzania have similar policies where learners in all public schools wear same uniforms that are only differentiated by school.
