Eritrea: Activities By Eritreans in Diaspora

Asmara — Eritrean nationals residing in Holland, Saudi Arabia and South Sudan have conducted various activities depicting the attachment they have with the homeland.

As a continuation of the initiative they took in 2017 in honor of martyrs, Eritrean nationals in the Netherlands, grouped through the Facebook, contributed over 16, 600 Eouros to augment the martyrs trust fund.

The Eritrean community members in Demmam, Saudi Arabia, conducted an activity assessment meeting and elected executive committee members.

The chairman of the community, Mr. Hassan Mahmud called for strengthening unity and participation in the national development drives. He also called on the newly elected executive members to deligently serve the community that elected them.

In the same vein, at an activity assessment meeting, the YPFDJ organization in Juba, South Sudan, adopted recommendations and resolutions aimed at strengthening participation in the national development programs.

The Eritrean Ambassador to the South Sudan, Mr. Yohannes Teklemicael said that the objective of the organization is to nurture youth that have strong bondage with the homeland and expressed readiness that the Embassy will stand alongside the organization in all its endeavors.
