Angola: Citizens Detained in Possession of Over 100,000 Fake Us Dollars

Ondjiva — Two national citizens, aged 34 and 51, were detained Wednesday by National Police forces in the municipality of Ombadja, Cunene province, in possession of allegedly 163,400 fake US dollars.

The information was released Thursday, to Angop, in Ondjiva, by the corporation's spokesman in Cunene, intendant Nicolau Tuvecalela, noting that the individuals were detained in the Xangongo / Ondjiva section, when police officers carried out surveillance of routine to vehicles.

According to the spokesman of the corporation, the two nationals were coming from neighboring Republic of Namibia and bound for the province of Cabinda.

This is an unprecedented situation that the Fiscal Police registers in the Municipality of Ombadja.
