Africa: AMVCA 2018 - Africa Magic Hosts Nollywood Stars in Lagos

Lagos — Nollywood's finest yesterday graced the Afican Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) Sponsors and Nominees' cocktail party held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Hosted by Africa Magic in association with MultiChoice, the event had in attendance some of Nollywood's celebrities including Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Odunlade Adekola, Kunle Afolayan, Hilda Dokubo, Adesua Etomi and Linda Ejiofor, among others.

Also present at the event were 2018 AMVCA nominees, media personalities, celebrities including ex-housemates of Big Brother Naija editions.

The event also featured musical performances from various artists alongside comedy performances by Kenny Blaq and Seyi Law as DJ Sose thrilled the audience with nice beats.

A statement from the organisers noted that voting for the AMVCAs is still open till Friday, August 24.

To vote for your favorite Actor or Actress in a TV or Drama series and Best Short Film or Online Video, participants are encouraged to visit their website.

It added that the awards will hold in Lagos on September 1 and will be broadcast live on all Africa Magic channels on DStv and GOtv.

"The 2018 AMVCAs is proudly sponsored by Konga and Airtel," the statement reads.
