Nigeria: Falconets Crash Out, Lose 1-2 to Spain

The cash motivation by President Mohammadu Buhari notwithstanding, Nigeria's intermediate women's team, Falconets, yesterday waved goodbye to the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, France 2018, losing 1-2 to Spain in their quarterfinal battle.

Shortly before the Nigerian girls left their hotel for the match at the Stade Guy-Piriou, Concarneau yesterday, Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung called the players to inform them of Federal Government's approval of payment of all their camp allowances and match bonuses.
