Kenya: Governor Obado Records Statement Over Sharon Otieno's Murder

Migori Governor Okoth Obado has been summoned to the DCI offices in Kisumu to record a statement over the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.

The governor had arrived at Kisumu Regional Police headquarters by press time.

His white Toyota Land Cruiser was parked at the entrance of the building.

Sharon was abducted on Monday night at Homa Bay town alongside Nation journalist Barrack Oduor, who managed to escape after jumping out of a moving vehicle.

Her body was discovered on Tuesday in a thicket in Kodero market.
