Malawi: Over 20,000 Households Rescued From Hunger in Mulanje

Mulanje — Government says it will distribute maize to about 20,000 households in Mulanje who were affected by dry spells that hit the district during the last growing season.

Mulanje District Council Director of Planning and Development, Emmanuel Bulukutu told Malawi News Agency (Mana) that the Department of Disaster Management Affairs has mobilized the relief maize upon receiving reports of hunger from the district which state that over 20,000 households would be food insecure.
