Gambia: Food Security - Government Seeks Help

Vice President and Minister of Women's Affairs

The Government of The Gambia has made a passionate plea for assistance yesterday to offset the food security challenges it anticipates in the short run. This is due to the effect of the poor rainfall this season. In a declaration signed by the Vice President the government is seeking for supply of rice, coarse grains, improved seeds for gardening, groundnuts and rice, feed concentrates, fertiliser, mass vaccination campaign and watering points for livestock, etc.
