BORAKANELO POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH- Borakanelo police in Gaborone are investigating an incident in which a mob attacked and killed a young man at Gaborone bus rank on October 19.
A press release from Botswana Police Service says the incident happened after the man, in his 20s, was suspected to have been involved in a criminal activity.
It says the mob gave chase and assaulted him and by the time police arrived at the scene, he was unconscious.
The release states that he was latter certified dead by a medical doctor at Princess Marina Hospital.
The police reiterated their appeal to members of the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
Police investigations are ongoing and no arrests have yet been made. (BOPA)
