Namibia: Gobabis Killer Receives Heavy Prison Term

A PRISON term of 34 years has marked the end of the trial of a Gobabis man who admitted in the Windhoek High Court last week that he murdered his girlfriend in a knife attack nearly two years ago.

With his sentencing in the High Court at Windhoek Correctional Facility this morning (Friday), Jacob Hoxobeb (31) has become the second man to be sentenced in a Namibian court this week to more than 30 years' imprisonment over the murder of his girlfriend.
