Sudan: Attorney General Receives Director of UN Office for Combating Drugs and Crime

Khartoum — The Attorney General, Omer Ahmed Mohamed, received in his office Monday the Director of the UN Office for Combat of Drugs and Crime for the Middle East and North Africa, in presence of the First Assistant Attorney General, Hisham Osman Ibrahim.

The meeting tackled Sudan ratification of the UN agreement for combating crime and the protocol for combating human trafficking via land, sea and air.

The Attorney General has appreciated the coordination between the UN Office for Combating Drugs and Crime.

He hoped that the office, works will include the human and immigrants trafficking and money laundry and other crimes.

He called for establishing strong partnership with the international and regional communities and the concerned organizations and providing training and capacity building opportunities for the bodies operating in the criminal field.
