Angola, Spain Plan to Deepen Cooperation

Luanda — Angola and Spain are preparing to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the area of security and internal order, according to a press note from the Ministry of Interior that reached Angop Monday.

The Minister of the Interior, Ângelo da Veiga Tavares, left Monday for the Kingdom of Spain in order to strengthen the intention and where he will sign with the Spanish counterpart, an agreement on security and fight against crime.

The relations of friendship and cooperation between the Interior Ministries of Angola and Spain date back to 1992 and were formalized in 1997 by signing in Madrid the agreement on security and internal order between the two institutions.
