JOSEPH Martin and Bertus Damon made history when they became the first winners from Africa of the prestigious World International Pairs competition at the La Penina Golf Course in Portimao, Portugal.
The pair were crowned world champions after defeating South African brothers Mornè and Hugo Vermeulen by just one point over two dramatic rounds at the picturesque course on Portugal's Algarve. The World International Pairs is a high level amateur competition for club golf players.
